Stanford Faculty and Staff Program

Bring your family to Stanford Sierra Camp to enjoy the splendors of Fallen Leaf Lake and the Sierra Nevada! This fun family program is modeled on our alumni summer program and tailored for the extended Stanford family.

Program Overview

Enjoy an array of activities, from leisurely to energetic.

  • Relax with a good book and a latte on a lakeside lounge chair.
  • Take a guided hike into Desolation Wilderness.
  • Sail, row or paddle across Fallen Leaf Lake.
  • Play tennis, volleyball or basketball.

Enthusiastic counselors lead creative, educational and fun-filled programs for ages five through 12.

Activities include:

  • Indoor and outdoor games
  • Adventurous nature hikes
  • Family programs that allow you to enjoy time with your children

The camp provides great opportunities to spend quality time with your family and friends, new and old.

  • Nights of Family Fun: Our energetic staff are ready to entertain. Enjoy s’mores around the campfire, learn about the stars on an Astro-Cruise, and get your glitter on at Disco Bingo!
  • Sunset Social Hour: Join us in the historic Old Lodge for wine & cheese (or beer & pretzels, if you prefer) and enjoy socializing with fellow faculty and staff members.
  • Campfire on the Waterfront: Gather round the crackling fire to sing campfire tunes and roast marshmallows.

Camp cabins and lodge rooms provide comfortable accommodations each with private bath. Internet access is available throughout Camp. Phones, fax and message service are available in the main lodge.
