Ray Purpur - Managing Sports During a Pandemic (7:00 p.m. PT)

Ray Purpur is responsible for overseeing facility development and management as well as capital planning for Stanford athletics. He has managed more than $500 million worth of campus recreation and facility projects. Under Ray’s management all recreational facilities have been renovated to keep them modern and up to current standards. The Master Facilities Plan includes renovating the tennis venue, building a student performance center and renovating a small arena for several Olympic sports.

Ray is active in the community and has served as President of both the San Joaquin American Heart Association and the Child Abuse Prevention Council. He also chaired the San Jose Arena Authority. He served as a board member of the Positive Coaching Alliance, University of the Pacific Athletic Advisory Board and is the current President of the Stanford University Faculty Club.
