Virtual Event: Yellowstone In the Anthropocene (11:00 am PST)
Event Details
11:00AM - 12:00PM
Despite intensive efforts to minimize impacts of humans on this iconic place, global forces have changed Yellowstone. The world has reached a moment where human impact is as significant as the geologic forces of the past—The Anthropocene. Join Professor Hadly as she shares a brief history of Yellowstone National Park, its role in national park lands globally, and evidence that even our most protected lands face unprecedented challenges. While some assaults to Yellowstone cannot be undone, Professor Hadly highlights the positive impact of local, regional and national efforts to preserve and defend our treasured ecosystems.
