The Stanford Club of San Diego cordially invites you to join fellow alumni on Friday, January 29th for an opportune discussion on the optimal business capacity for reducing COVID-19 infections.
Stanford co-author and CS Ph.D. student Serina Chang will discuss the recent and timely Stanford study researching the tradeoff between reopening businesses and reducing COVID infections. We will hear how this interdisciplinary team from computer science, sociology, and epidemiology came together to build a computational model that can analyze the impacts of different policies on business activity, new infections, and health disparities. The study is a creative and intriguing investigation of the many parameters involved in the policymaking process of how to protect the public and the economy.
