The Stanford Club of Houston, in co-sponsorship with the Houston chapter of the Stanford Black Alumni Association, will virtually meet to read and discuss the The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness by Michelle Alexander, JD ’92.  A New York Times bestseller for over 250 weeks and the recipient of an NAACP Image Award, The New Jim Crow has been called one of the most influential books of the past 20 years and one of the most important nonfiction books of the 21st century for its revealing and candid analysis of the criminal justice system in America. We hope you will join us for a timely discussion of this seminal work.
