Following up on our first virtual session on mental health, all are welcome to join us for a second online presentation and the opportunity to “chat” in small groups about dealing with mental health issues in these unprecedented times. Dr. Jeff Prater, ‘76, will give a brief presentation and then participants will go to “breakout” rooms, which will be led by Dr. Prater, Dr. Claudia Grauf-Grounds, '76; Dr. Josephine McNary, '01, AM '01; and PsyD Doctoral Candidate Shannon Thomas. The breakout rooms will address the following topics:

  • "How to Talk to Your Children About the Pandemic and Racial Injustice"
  • "Stress and Its Impact on the Family and Relationships"
  • "Anxiety/Depression and Treatment Options"

We will send you a questionnaire prior to the event to find out which breakout room you would like to join.

Please note that this Zoom presentation is an educational experience, not a therapy session. Following the presentation, we will share recommendations if guests would like additional resources.
