~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When we think of safety, we usually think about a physical barrier of protection, but psychological safety is also vital to our wellbeing. The anxiety and fear that overwhelm us when we feel that our physical safety is being threatened don’t automatically disappear, even when we intellectually know that we are safe in the moment. In this uncertain world, we need new techniques to relax, even when everything going on around us seems crazy. Dr. Fred Luskin, PhD ’99, will discuss how to do our best work through honoring our health and mental state, and will offer easily practiced skills for staying calm in the face of danger, real or perceived.
