Renowned Stanford faculty member, Fred Luskin, Ph.D. '99 Education and PD '99 Medicine, explains what makes people happy and why. He will share the neurobiology behind mood states and offer strategies for finding the good, becoming more peaceful, improving relationships, and appreciating oneself. Join fellow Stanford alumni to learn about his research, which has shown that the Forgive for Good methodology leads participants suffering from a wide range of concerns to improved physical and mental health.

Dr. Fred Luskin is part of a psychology movement that focuses not on what is wrong with people but on what is right. Luskin is the founder and director of the Stanford Forgiveness Projects and a senior consultant in health promotion at Vaden Health Center. He is the author of the bestselling books Forgive for Good: A Proven Prescription for Health and Happiness and Forgive for Love: The Missing Ingredient for a Healthy and Happy Relationship and his work has been made into a PBS pledge drive video called Forgive for Good. He has been interviewed many hundreds of times on forgiveness in world-wide media, including the New York Times, O Magazine, Today Show, Los Angeles Times, Time Magazine, Huffington Post, and CBS Morning News.

Some of you may have been students in Dr. Luskin's classes, but all of us can view videos of Dr. Luskin's reflections on happiness and forgiveness here.  Let me warn you--it will be difficult to turn these videos off so give yourself some time to watch or listen and share them with others who are important in your life!
