Dear Fellow Alumni -

I enjoy mixing cocktails and playing games, so a poker evening is a perfect way to mingle and meet fellow Alums and also to have some focused fun playing a great card game, Texas Hold'em. I have the requisite poker chips and playing cards but a small apartment so I can only accommodate up to 10 players. We will keep this event "klein und fein."

Logistics: Arrive at 19:00 for cocktails, poker introduction round at 20:00, snack-break at 21:00, mini-tournament at 22:00, wrap up between 23:00 and midnight.

Costs: I will provide snacks and drinks and would ask that each person contributes €25 to help with food and drinks costs and prizes for the poker tournament.

Is experience needed? If you have not played poker before, you will get a chance to learn the basics in the 'introduction round.'

Really just 10 people? As mentioned, I have a small apartment and a table for 10 players, so if you want to bring a +1 we can work things out so the +1s can watch the game or sit outside on the deck if the weather is good or sit on the couch and mingle with other +1s. But unfortunately I need to keep the number of players to 10.
