Join fellow alums to discuss Circe, a novel by Madeline Miller. Circe is the witch in Homer that turned Odysseus' sailors into pigs, and she figures in several Greek myths alongside the Minotaur, Daedalus and his doomed son Icarus, the murderous Medea, and more. Per Miller's website, Circe is "an intoxicating epic of family rivalry, palace intrigue, love and loss, as well as a celebration of indomitable female strength in a man's world."

The Legendary Book Club meets on the second Thursday of odd numbered months in private homes. About 20 alums participate, sharing responsibility for bringing wine and hors d'oeuvres. Regular attendance is encouraged but not required. Reservations must be confirmed the week before the meeting as seating is a premium!

RSVP to Lynn Basquez at lynn.basquez@gmail.com to reserve a spot.
