Please join fellow alumni for the Stanford Club of San Diego's Fall Speaker event with Stanford Professor Jeffrey Fisher.

Professor Fisher will discuss the Supreme Court's increasing presence in modern life and politics, and what it means for our country. He will draw on his work in the marriage equality case and others to discuss the Justices' ongoing internal debate over how to interpret the Constitution. In addition, Professor Fisher will ponder how to apply constitutional provisions, as well as increasingly dated federal statutory regimes, to issues that the Framers never explicitly considered -- and, in some cases, could not have imagined.

Schedule:

6 - 6:45 pm Check-in and reception (dinner provided)

6:45 - 7:45 pm Lecture

7:45 - 8:00 pm Q&A
