On November 7th, 2018, California's most devastating fire rushed through Butte County at unprecedented speed and with a fury never seen in this state. The loss to the community was extreme, as was the ecological devastation. Restoring the community goes hand in hand with the restoration of the environment. Please join members of Paradise and neighboring towns impacted by the fire for a day of community building and land recovery on April 27th. We will establish erosion control, do bioremediation with mushrooms, make seed balls, set up foundations for school gardens, earth work for water harvesting, and other eco-system repair techniques.

Please note that phone service is spotty in the area.

If you'd like, please send a note about your location and we will organize carpools (SF, Peninsula, Marin, East Bay). After the project, volunteers are invited to attend an Eco Camp Out festivity at 6pm with other Rebuilding Paradise volunteers (dinner not included).

This project welcomes volunteers ages 16 and up.
