Join fellow alumni in supporting adults with disabilities at Big Wave Farm! Activities might include:

  • Blueberries - weed and mulch
  • Herb and ground boxes - weed and mulch
  • Transplant Lavender
  • Clean up around the Farm
  • Sweet Peas - prepare beds, erect supports, plant seeds
  • Picking Strawberries (especially the kids)
  • Visit the Chickens and help around the chicken coop

Please bring a bag lunch and water. (We usually have some side dishes to share.) We have gloves and tools, but feel free to bring your own. Wear a hat, sunscreen, and dress in layers as it can be cool and windy on the coast. Wear sturdy shoes or boots and clothes that can get dirty.

Children age 8 and above may actively participate. Please contact us regarding younger children.

The Big Wave Project fosters independence in adults with disabilities, fostering independence through meaningful employment, supportive community, and affordable housing. Our Farm grows produce for use and sale by participants with disabilities, and over 50% of our produce is donated locally to nonprofits.
