WA - Bellevue: Heirloom Orchard Restoration to Provide Fruit to Local Food Banks

Volunteers are needed to help fill up wheelbarrow with mulch and spreading it under fruit trees that provide healthy food to feed the hunger. Wear sturdy closed-toe shoes and weather appropriate clothing.

Items to bring that would be helpful, but are not required:

  • work gloves
  • wheelbarrows
  • large recyclable brown cardboard (No glossy/high colored boxes which have a thin plastic coating that aren't biodegradable).

9:45 AM - meet at the garden shelter behind the church

10:00 AM - work starts

1:00 PM - light lunch will be provided

This project welcomes children 5 and up who are able to work at the orchard garden with parental supervision.
