Join fellow alumni on Wednesday, December 12, for a unique opportunity to hear from Anne Gust Brown, ’80, the First Lady of California and Special Counsel to Governor Edmund G. Brown, Jr. She has been called “a power in her own right” by the Los Angeles Times, and her political and business savvy has had a significant impact on Governor Jerry Brown’s fourth term in office. Prior to serving in her current role, Gust Brown had a very successful career as a business executive and lawyer.

A graduate of Stanford University and the University of Michigan Law School, Gust Brown worked as a lawyer at several prominent San Francisco Bay Area law firms before joining Gap Inc. as an in-house attorney in 1991. Gust Brown held various senior level positions, including General Counsel, before being named Gap Inc.’s Chief Administrative Officer in March 2000. She helped run Governor Brown’s successful campaign for California Attorney General and served as special counsel while he held the office.

Moderating the fireside chat is Greg Lucas, ’80, California’s 25th State Librarian and former Capitol Bureau Chief for the San Francisco Chronicle. This promises to be an evening you won’t want to miss!
