The Stanford Supper Club is starting 2019 at BIGA, a Stanford-alum owned establishment bringing its own style of Italian to downtown San Diego! Supper Club dinners are a terrific opportunity to have a great meal while enjoying the company of Stanford friends both old and new.

Amanda Salas-Dickey (BA '98) and her husband, Tae Dickey, own and operate the Gaslamp's Italian, farm-to-table hotspot, BIGA.  At the helm of BIGA's kitchen is Chef de Cuisine Carlos Rodriguez, whose most recent tenure was at Trust in Hillcrest which is commonly listed as one of San Diego's favorite restaurants.  The vast majority of BIGA's ingredients come from local farms, fishmongers and meat purveyors and are handpicked by either Tae or Carlos roughly every other day.  The ingredients that are not procured locally come from Italy, simply to preserve their genuine nature.  As with the regular dinner menu, this four-course meal will be selected to highlight the freshest local fruits, vegetables, meats and seafood, manipulated by the impeccable technique and flavor combinations of Chef Carlos.  There will be a charcuterie board, with carefully selected meats and cheeses accompanied by BIGA's unique woodfired, house made organic bread, and additional choices for appetizers and entrées and dessert.  Amanda and Tae will also invite some of their favorite local farmers and fishermen to discuss and further educate the group on the importance of sustainable restaurant practices.

Dress is business-casual or casual for this trendy, casual venue.
