Join fellow alumni for this special conversation with one of Stanford’s stars in politics and public service, California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, '80, JD '84. Moderating the conversation is Vice President for Alumni Affairs and President of the Stanford Alumni Association, Howard Wolf, '80.

Xavier Becerra was sworn in as the 33rd Attorney General of the State of California, and is the first Latino to hold the office in the history of the state.

The State’s chief law enforcement officer, Attorney General Becerra has decades of experience serving the people of California through appointed and elected office, where he has fought for working families, the vitality of the Social Security and Medicare programs and issues to combat poverty among the hardworking families. He has also championed the state’s economy by promoting and addressing issues impacting job generating industries such as health care, clean energy, technology, and entertainment. Becerra has made headlines with his position on the US-Mexico border and is working with Equifax to get to the bottom of the recent data breach. A Sacramento native who spent more than two decades in Congress, Attorney General Becerra is back in his hometown with his wife Dr. Carolina Reyes, '80.

Doors open at 5:00 pm, with a moderated discussion and Q&A commencing at 5:30 pm. A reception will follow.
