Beautify Baltimore: “It Takes A Village”

Join your fellow Stanford alums, elementary school students, and neighbors in west Baltimore for a community spring clean-up, hosted by Bon Secours Community Works, Fayette Street Neighborhood Association, and the “Clean & Green” neighborhood revitalization team. We will plant gardens, remove trash, and beautify a local Baltimore neighborhood in partnership with the people who will benefit most from our efforts.

Attire: Dress for weather and dirty work (old jeans, shorts, t-shirts) which you don't mind ruining; Bring work gloves if you have them.

This project welcomes children ages 12 and up, with parental supervision.

Our day will go as follows:

- Breakfast upon arrival

- Opening remarks - Talib Horne, Executive Director

- Orientation to the tasks - Tim Bridges

- Sign photo releases

- Group photo

- Work along-side neighbors and Bon Secours representatives on various projects while photographer captures the experience; begin cleaning up around 11:30/11:45.

- Lunch and debriefing in Community Room
